User Agreement

You must read and understand the general use policy in order to gain access to IREIs data storage.

The user agrees ...

1. To use the resources responsibly and in a way that does not impede the use by others, and to adhere to the resource policies.

2. To use the resources for scientific research projects for which the access is granted.

3. To avoid accessing, copying, or altering files outside of the user's home and project directory.

4. That the user account and credentials (password, SSH keys) are strictly personal and should not be shared under any circumstances.

5. To inform the administrators about changes in contact information.

6. That upon the agreed project end date, the user will be restricted to accessing data only, and all access will be closed after three (3) months.

7. That all data will be removed six (6) months after the project closing date.

8. That the administrators reserve the right to maintain and adjust the system in order to facilitate efficient and fair use of the resources, which may limit usage for a particular user.

9. Accounts inactive for more than (12) months will be automatically terminated.

10. That in the case of an abrupt termination of the user account, all relevant data will be transferred to the PI.

11. That no system or hardware is perfect, and neither the IREI administrators can be held liable for any damages or loss of data caused by imperfections or accidents. Violation of the use policy may result in the termination of user access and legal actions. Responsible use and resource policies are outlined on the IREI resource website.
