Jotunn
Introduction
Jötunn is one of three partitions available on the Elja cluster. The main purpose of Jötunn is to provide courses access to powerful compute nodes that students can compute on. These compute-nodes are shared between the partitions Jotunn and Elja so other users that are on the partition Elja can also have access to these compute-nodes. However due to the short time-limit on the specified compute-nodes the flow of the queue should go fast. Therefore these five compute-nodes are not meant for calculations that would take more then one day to produce a result.
Hardware Specification
In total the Jotunn partition has 256 cores and 960 GB of Memory available 4 x standard compute nodes and 1 x gpu node:
Count | Name | Cores/Node | Memory/Node (Gib) | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
4 | Jotunn | 48 (2x24) | 192 (188) | Intel Gold 6248R |
1 | Jotunn-GPU | 64 (2x32) | 192 (188) | Nvidia A100 Tesla GPU |
